    TEACHING EXPERIENCE:

My name is Nora Katharine Beckley and I have been teaching the Shared-Time Music Program in Garden City for the last six years. I have been teaching Music at St. Dunstan for the last five years, and enjoying it a great deal.

I am from Cambridge and teach the Shared Time Music Program at three Catholic Schools in the Garden City Area. I feel the most important gift that I can give to my student is the love of Music no, matter what kind it is. All my students do more than just learn to read notes and sing songs. They also have learned how to Sign for the Deaf, and we use it in a lot of our songs in all the grades. One of the things I teach is the instruments of the orchestra, and I bring mine in to show them, and they can try them to see if they like it. I hope to teach Violin and Cello, and Drums after school next year. I enjoy all kinds of music and I hope my students do too.

    My favorite quote:

"The woods are lovely, dark and deep, but I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep, and miles to go before I sleep, and miles to go before I sleep."-Robert Frost

I think this phrase describes me the best!
