  • DEGREE:

  • B.A. from Wayne State University - Major: Spanish; Minors: French, and English
  • M.A. Mercy College - Major: Spanish Bilingual, Bicultural Education; certified in both elementary and secondary education

  • TEACHING EXPERIENCE:

I teach Spanish to grade 5 Monday through Friday and to grades 6-8 Monday through Thursday. I have been teaching for over 20 years, the last two at St. Dunstan. I have worked for the Garden City Schools Cambridge Center since 1999. Before taking a pause in my career to raise my family, I worked for the Detroit Public Schools. I have also worked for a private language company and as an adjunct professor at Wayne State University. I feel language is extremely important today in our global society. Students will have the cutting edge in the job market if they know a foreign language. A good friend at the International Institute once told me that you are as many persons as the languages you know.
